How To Sanitize VASA
VASA meets standard requirements from The National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) for home dishwashers:
- Temperature: VASA can withstand a final rinse temperature of at least 150°F.
- Bacteria reduction: In the Sanitize, "Sani-clean" or "Sani-wash" setting VASA will reduce bacteria by at least 99.999%.
- Sanitizing cycle: VASA has been tested in dishwashers using a verified setting for sanitizing performance when using the sanitizing cycle.
VASA has been tested using a BOSCH Model:SHP65CM5N. VASA was exposed to maximum temperatures of 170F and run for a total wash time of 2 hours and 20 minutes without damage to the VASA.

VASA has two parts which may wear out after years of use.
1) The Wheel Caps
2) The Wheel Holders.
These parts have been designed to be easily removed and replaced.
VASA comes with a lifetime warranty on these parts. Simply register your product with us, provide us your mailing address and we will ship you new parts, free of charge, free shipping.

If you would like to exchange for any reason within the first 60 days, please contact us at support@vasapet.com
RETURNS
60 days from delivery. Email support@vasapet.com with your order number and reason for return. We’ll email you a prepaid return label. Items should be returned with all parts. Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 3–5 business days after the carrier scan.

Damage caused by improper use, neglect, or accidents.
Normal wear and tear, including filter replacements or cosmetic changes.
Damage resulting from unauthorized modifications or repairs.

Upon verification, we will provide instructions for repair, replacement, or refund.

Is the VASA pet fountain quiet?
Yes. The VASA is designed to be extremely quiet. Technically speaking it is < 48 dB which makes it quieter than a running refrigerator.
Is it easy for a cat to tip over the VASA?
No. At VASA we understand how rambunctious our cats can be. The super light pet fountain which you typically find on Amazon can be very easy for cats to tip over. The VASA is designed with 5 separate feet which are wide apart to make it difficult to tip over.
Can the VASA easily slide or be pushed by a cat on a tile or wood floor?
No. VASA has 5 separate rubber feet which make it more difficult for a cat to slide and tip over the VASA.
Is the surface roughness of the VASA similar to ceramic and stainless steel fountains?
Yes. Surface roughness is measured by a profilometer, and lower surface roughness values are better for preventing microbe growth. The surface roughness of the VASA is 0.1 µm, which is comparable to stainless steel bowls (0.05 µm to 0.2 µm) and porcelain bowls (0.01 µm to 0.1 µm).
Will VASA be damaged if I run it without water?
No. Unlike Pet Fountains with pumps, VASA will not be damaged.
Does VASA have any blue or red lights you see at night?
No. We find that those lights attract bugs, so there are no lights.
Is VASA good for households with dogs and cats?
Yes. Dogs and cats both enjoy and drink from VASA.
Are special brushes required to clean VASA?
No. Unlike pumps, no brushes are required to reach small, tight crevices in the typically pet fountain pump.
